Hybrid Hype
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! I have been saying this for a while, but no one seems to care.... Thank God for the boys at AutoExtremist.com who have debunked the over hyped hybrid vehicles available on the market. For the article, go here and scroll down about half way to get the whole scoop.

Also heard that after 5 years, the hybrid's batteries have to be replaced---to the tune of $5K or so.
Any truth to that rumor?
Yes and no. We haven't hit five years with them yet, and all the "experts" believe that it will go down with time.
I would consult the Toyota tech you know...
